- 100% chardonnay champange
- Green apples, white flowers and a streak of minerality rounded out by the soft apricot and honey notes.
- Pair with fresh seafood or white meats like chicken
A luminescent yellow with the slightest tinge of green hints at this 100% chardonnay cuvée which is mineral, citrus and full of energy. The oldest wine house in Champagne, Gosset has a distinct style and method of production with no malolactic fermentation and grand cru fruit which results in wines with clean fruit profiles, lovely lines of acidity and full vigour.
If you are a seasoned champagne drinker and like your champagne elegant but in possession of tension and drive then you will enjoy this cuvee. Citrus notes of lemon followed apricot and quince. Although the floral and citrus characters are what will strike you first about this cuvée, you will remember the glorious minerality and structure pulled together with a lovely driving line of acidity.
Vinified and aged on lees to eliminate all risk of premature oxidation. Malolactic fermentation is carefully avoided in order to preserve all the natural fruit aromas of the wine and to allow the wines to undergo longer ageing. Brut dosage (6 g/l) to maintain the balance between freshness, fruit and vinosity without masking the wine’s personality and purity. Aged for a minimum of 3 years in cellars maintained at a constant temperature, well beyond the legal minimum of 15 months.
