- Excellent 2012 harvest and an highly energetic and fresh styled vintage champagne
- Historic house established in Aÿ, now based in Epernay
- Pair with warm pear, goats cheese and walnut tart
This is a vibrant and youthful style of vintage champagne, very much in its infancy and is a strong candidate for ageing in your cellar. We love the freshness, bright green apple, almond and pear looking pretty and showing clean fruit and the type of vivacity to expect from this excellent harvest.
67% chardonnay and 33 pinot noir coming from Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Vertus and Trépail with the pinot predominantly from Aÿ, Avenay-Val-d’Or, Louvois, Ambonnay and Chigny-les-Roses.
It has been aged for 5-6 years on lees. The winemaking is done in all stainless steel and naturally with all Gosset winemaking, NO malo. Hence that verve and energy in the acids captured in this wine which will give this wine a long life in the cellar.
